UX DESIGN // 2021 & 2023
Dancefusion is a performing arts academy based in Melbourne. The studio offers classes in ballet, musical theatre, hip-hop and more to ages 2.5 and above.
Despite offering 12+ different movement styles and over 20 years’ teaching experience, Dancefusion was struggling with low enrolment numbers.
The website needed to attract new clients, conveying its values of a supportive and inclusive dance environment while clearly displaying the range of classes on offer.
The design also needed to remain compatible with the website provider HostPapa, so the client could continue making updates in the future.
I focused first on making the Dancefusion website feel inviting. Through high-resolution, up-to-date images of students having fun, I helped potential customers envisage the studio experience. I re-organised the website flow and resolved legibility issues so that the text – including the hot pink brand colour – is always legible.
